Big Boys Toys 2008 was a big success with plenty of interest shown in our fully interactive demos. If you missed us at the show it was your chance to experience the thrill of RAM (Real Action Markers) in our custom built CQB shoot-house. If you did miss it you can still test drive RAM at our Auckland retail store or at NCSC in Avondale, Auckland (www.ncsc.co.nz)
WHAT IS RAM?
RAM (Real Action Marker) Paintball pistols, rifles, and shotguns are built to exacting standards imitating their real firearms counterparts in physical features, weight, and function. They can be used as training arms or in the gaming fraternity.
The RAM gamers’ experience is ultra-realistic when in action on a SWAT gaming course or in the woods. RAM has become the ultimate in reality paintball gaming and is the latest craze in a sport where gamers are seeking to pump more realism into their battlefields, CQB (close quarter battle) and scenario based simulations. The RAM gamers complete the realism by wearing SWAT or battle dress uniforms with the addition of items such as goggles, masks, helmets and gloves to ensure their safety. Real Action Markers are designed to replicate the physical features, weight, and function of their firearm counterparts to provide the realism and the high adrenaline buzz of force on force gaming. The RAM Markers fire 0.43 caliber paint or rubber balls, thus creating an environment where tactical scenarios can be carried out with real style outcomes. Their CO2 power source is hidden in the stock or grip of the marker, and unlike traditional paintball markers that rely on gravity and a big hopper for reloading, Real Action Markers load through a realistic magazine providing the user with an incredibly realistic feeling. Additionally, RAM tactical rifles utilize RAM Casings that eject upon firing, further simulating its live-fire counterpart. Accessories can also be mounted that provide the same optics or other controls that may be used by an operator. Combine all the features of a Real Action Marker and you have a marker that’s exciting, easy-to-use, cost effective, and designed for the most realistic battles you will find.
